Project Hope of Gunnison Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which relies primarily on grant funds to provide services to the community.
We believe positive relationships are vital to the health and growth of our communities. Project Hope of Gunnison Valley supports initiatives for a violence-free community through prevention based education and outreach within Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties.
Project Hope exists in the hope and belief that victim support services and survivor support services are sensitive to each individual’s needs, that Project Hope serves, and meets them where they are.
Project Hope recognizes that our continued success depends on a caring, sensitive community where Project Hope may exceed expectations by going beyond the obvious need for services by delivering these services in a confidential and safe environment.
Project Hope was created and continues to be a resource and referral center for ALL victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, regardless of when the crime was committed or if it was reported.
The staff of Project Hope continues to pursue knowledge and excellence in our field through frequent training opportunities.
Project Hope serves all child or adult victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault regardless of race, color, creed, nationality, income or sexual orientation.
All services provided by Project Hope are available at no cost to individuals in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties.
Project Hope is committed to providing services to all people regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, citizenship, socio-economic status, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. We aim to end privilege and oppression embedded in our culture to create an equitable and inclusive future free of interpersonal violence through raising awareness and exposing the myths and stereotypes of interpersonal violence while promoting messages of inclusivity, empowerment, and health in relationships.
